By now most of us have heard of the multiple allegations against the R & B singer R Kelly. These allegations are nothing new for the R & B superstar. R Kelly’s questionable past is rapidly catching up with him, Due to the allegations of child molestation, rape, kidnapping and false imprisonment of young underage girls.

Our society is full of individuals of all races and classes who break the law in many different ways. My issue today is not so much on R. Kelly, but the R Kelly fans.

Now I know in America you are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty and in a just justice system this system sometimes work. If we were to look at the court of social media, it seems R. Kelly would be released on all charges simply because he made step in the name of love and I believe I can fly.

What’s happening in our society, we seem to forget that the root word of fan is fanatic and R Kelly fans seem to have chosen in social media to give him a pass.

Shed had no tears. We have to learn to separate the actor, singer, celebrity, politician and comedian from the man or woman. We can enjoy their singing, acting and how they may represent us in politics.

But that does not excuse any bad deeds that they do. We have to adjust our moral compass to make sure that we don’t allow anyone bad deeds to go unpunished, simply because we like a song that they sing or laugh at a joke they tell. Let get our minds right.
