It has been proven that three long deep breaths are breathing techniques to calm a person in extreme situations. Three long deep breaths before you make a hard decision. When you are excited, scared or nervous, three long deep breaths is therapeutic for bringing you back down to a normal state.
Over this past weekend, we all witnessed extreme behaviors in our brothers and sisters throughout this nation. Frustration, anger, resentment and Hate fueled a very violent weekend. Not just in the city of Chicago, not just in Minneapolis and New York, but throughout this nation. Protesters took to the streets, to protest against another African American man being strangled to death on video.

Yet again, by a Minneapolis police officer who didn’t give it a second thought to leaning his knee into the neck of that African-American man for 9 minutes until he killed him. That man’s name was George Floyd. George Floyd’s last breath was extinguished when that officer chose to kneel on his neck for over 9 minutes.

George’s last words were, I can’t breathe. If that officer had taken the time to take Three long deep breaths, that officer wouldn’t have taken George’s life.
If that officer had taken three long, deep breaths before he allowed his personal feelings towards African American men, his personal resentment towards people, he may have felt superior to, Maybe our weekend would have been a little different throughout the nation.
Three long, deep breaths, can save a life. Take the time out to breathe when someone makes a mistake and bumps your car, or steps on your shoes.
Breathe! when someone says something negative towards you, about you or to you.
Breathe! Before you do something very dumb and stupid. Just breath.
