The other day, 10 Republicans made a decision to stand up against a force that had them overwhelmed by fear for the past three and 3/4 years. What was it, that gave these 10 the strength to stand?
Was it the fact that the President actually participated in the run against the capital? Was this the straw that broke the camel’s back? This last incident. Made the 10 see that they were being misled all along.
Overlooking the many, many times that they were following a guy that was physically and mentally unstable for the job. What gave them the strength now, after all that time?
10 individuals, made a similar decision, at one particular time. This would surely shine the spotlight on them, from their peers and not a good light
either. But they made a similar decisions to stand against an individual who had been misleading them and a nation of others.
The road may not be a comfortable one for the 10 in the near future. But I’m sure that was a decision that they all made individually, considering the facts. They must have said to themselves, today is the day I stand for what I believe and not a majority group. The Time Has Come.
They can feel their head spinning, butterflies in their stomachs and their knees are like Noodles. But yet they stand. They stand for what they believe. They stand for the simplest of principles. They stand for what is right.
10 individuals made the decision to stand for what they believe and not follow the crowd. Not knowing what the outcome may be. But something in their heart gave them the strength to stand. Being that one individual, willing to sacrifice all that is important to you at a whim, it’s a hard decision to make and only a few are able to make it at that appointed time.
The peace of mind that one would obtain for doing the right thing, at the right moment and at the right time, Priceless.
The 10 Republican individuals who chose to make a stand for morality and honesty, integrity and just what was clearly the right decision. They earn that peaceful nights sleep that I am sure that they all got after their decision .
Sometimes your only reward for doing the right thing is a peaceful night sleep.
