If you haven’t heard by now we recently lost a music icon, Aretha Franklin passed away earlier this week. It was not surprising that her fans were deeply saddened by the hearing of her passing. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and all of the media outlets carried the news throughout the nation.
Fans expressed their condolences to her family and expressed their love for her, for her music and what she contributed to the music industry. Radio stations played her songs from sun up to sun down over the weekend. News outlets played her interviews that she had over the years. Her videos are being shown 24/7 until she is placed in her final resting place. Fans of hers are expressing their love for her and her music with each other.
They’re Comparing her voice to other legends in the arts. Sharing personal experiences, concert dates we attended and remembering our favorite songs and how they made us all feel so good. This behavior is all too common when we lose a public figure that we loved and admired their work.
We know all too well after the final prayer has been prayed and a few weeks have passed, how soon we forget. It is time that we take time to share with our loved ones how we feel while they are still with us. A bouquet of flowers while they can still smell them.
I now propose the flowers while our loved ones can smell them challenge. Tell everyone in your family and your friends, that you love, appreciate them and give them a hug. Let’s do this for 30 days straight, I challenge you .
I dare you .I double dog dare you. I triple dog dare you to say to all your love ones {I LOVE YOU}. The verbal expression of love to the ones you love is a sure indication that You Are human.
