S*** Gets Crazy Sometimes

Brothers can get along for years without a crossword. Brothers can hang out together on the corner, in the bar, at the club, at the fights, in the malls, and in gas stations. Brothers hang out together in smoke shops and ice cream shops. They’re at mama and daddy’s house, even at grandma and grandpa’s house.

Brothers can discuss politics and religion, business and pleasure, family and friends, enemies and associates. They can talk about the weather, dogs, and cats. They can talk about cars and boats, construction, houses, saws and hammers, screwdrivers, screw guns, and power tools.

Brothers can talk about their favorite food and their favorite actress (Claire Huxtable). They can talk about rap music and gospel music. They can talk about songs and poems. They can talk about real estate, world leaders, and dictators. Brothers even talk about love and hate. Brothers talk about sex, food, solitude, and loyalty. (The Book – Man Square) Yet, S*** gets crazy sometimes.

Sometimes brothers fight. Knock-down, drag-out, furniture-moving, law enforcement-assisting, bouncer-requiring, paramedic-needing, and cooling off in a 24-hour holding tank. After cooler heads prevail, brothers know that brothers apologize. Brothers don’t stay mad. Brothers love.
