Another well-known celebrity is under fire for a homophobic comment he made years ago. Kevin Hart a comedian who has risen to the top of his craft and gained popularity, fame and fortune, Is now experiencing his time in the “let’s tear down another successful black man that we allow to rise to the top of his game so we can let him know that they are still in control”.
This is a common thing that happens to some actors, singers, comedians and athletes that rise to the top in our society. We’ve seen this before, get too big, too rich, and too popular and they dig up some dirt from years ago to try and drag you down.
One of the problems is that we may never know the real reason why all of a sudden a comedian’s joke is no longer funny. Young comedians starting out tell a joke, it’s fun and we all laugh. The Same comedian now Rich and famous tells the same joke, its no longer funny. Why is that?
We live in a society of many religions and they all have something to say about forgiveness. Unfortunately in our societies forgiveness is rarely practiced. Kevin addressed this issue years ago and I’m sure he apologized and thought that society had forgiving him.
Forgive and forget, that’s the saying right? But it never seems to work out that way. We all have to learn to forgive and forget and move on, so the healing can begin.
