The end of the year 2018 is hours away and for a lot of us we can’t wait for 2019. Simply because we’re planning for a great new year. Not that the previous year was all that bad but it’s always exciting to start a new.
New beginnings come with new ideas, new relationships, new attitude, new goals and dreams. For most of us we all start out on New Year’s Eve night making new resolutions for the oncoming New Year.
We promised ourselves to lose weight, get a new job, make more money, start exercising, stop procrastinating, start that novel, start that business, stop being so nice, stop being so mean, pray more, start going to church, stop going to the club, start eating better, stop drinking, stop smoking and a whole lot of other things that we promised ourselves that we’re going to do in the upcoming new year.
For some of us we managed to knock off a few of those resolutions, but for a lot of us, they’re just idle words spoken around friends and family usually at a party and with the drink in our hands.
It’s not until June or July when we realize that we failed in our New Year’s resolutions and we fall in the same old category. We make resolutions on New Year’s Eve, we start out fast and strong and quickly fizzle out on our dreams and goals.
We even sometimes say I’m not going to make any resolutions this year, because I know I’m not going to keep them. I’m here to tell you hours before 2019, don’t give up on yourself.
Make those resolutions, make those plans and dream out loud. Reach for the stars. You are wonderfully, beautifully and lovingly created. You can do it. Tell yourself you deserve it.
You believe in yourself. Even if nobody else does, you count on yourself, you encourage yourself, you motivate yourself and you empower yourself to do the things you desire for yourself.
2019 is your year to be all that you can be, to do all that you want to do. I believe in you and I love you. Happy New Year.
