The IamHumanRu movement was given birth by the disdain that its founder, Curtis Hibbler has for the complacency that people appear to have for the mistreatment of each other. Having grown up on the South side of Chicago in the Englewood area, Curtis is no stranger to seeing neglect and mistreatment in many forms. Driven by his past experiences and hopes for a better future, Curtis is spearheading the IamHumanRu movement.
Partially inspired by the me too movement and other ongoing controversies around the world, Curtis had an epiphany. He began to feel that the powers that “BE” were addressing the issues the wrong way. Curtis felt that the answer to many problems of the world today is simple. We must consider the fact that we’re all human.
The goal of the IamHumanRu movement is to elevate our conscious thinking and remind us that we are all human. By thinking of each other in this basic, humanistic manner, it will empower us as a people to literally dissolve prejudice and hate. Thinking from the humanistic perspective will also help with conflict resolution, be it between individuals or countries. Regardless of the many differences that may exist such as race, gender, etc. This thought provoking movement’s name is also its mantra. It makes a bold statement and asks a compelling question at the same time. Say it and you will feel it.
