Another Saga In The New NFL Plantation

Have you noticed that your favorite team can now celebrate after every touchdown, after every yard gain and even after a completed pass. When it used to be a penalty for a delay of game. I wonder what happened all of a sudden?

Teams are now wasting multiple seconds of celebrating a completed pass, a gain of a yard and even a touch down. Celebrating minimal accomplishments, which is part of the game. Complete a pass, gain a first down and score a touchdown. That’s what you’re supposed to do. That’s what you’re paid to do.

Now all of a sudden, the NFL is allowing players to celebrate the minute accomplishments after a down. I wonder why? Could it be because of the multiple players who were not man enough to stand with Colin Kaepernick?

Maybe the NFL is calling an audible. The NFL will allow the players to shuck and jive, and practically put on a minstrel show in between plays to celebrate a touchdown or even a completely pass.

This used to be a penalty for delay of game. Now it’s accepted? Hmmm! I wonder if the players know that they are falling for the banana in the tailpipe. The players were threatened with fines and penalties for kneeling in support of Colin Kaepernick’s protest against police brutality.

Now it’s okay to shuck and jive a minute accomplishment that is a part of the game in the first place. It seems silly to me to celebrate one touchdown with a sideline show and lose the game.

I would say save your energy and your celebration for the Super Bowl win. But that’s just me. The NFL is playing the players by divide and conquer. Give the masses a worthless victory and they won’t stand with the few who stand for something.

Smoke that over.
