The world has recently lost a up-and-coming star in Nipsey Hussle. It was an unexpected shock when the word went out about the assassination of Nipsey Hussle. Personally, I had no idea of the magnitude of this young man’s influence in his community. Love and admired by millions who knew him well and who knew of him.

I can’t say that I knew of his music or his mission but after hearing the news I began to research Nipsey, and to my surprise I found a young man who made some life choices that put him on the road to the stars.
Using all his life experiences and relationships to build a working format to rehabilitating his self, his peers and his community. All for the greater good. Accomplishing great things in music, business and in his personal relationships with friends and family.
Now we mourn the loss of another young African-American male who had beaten a system that was created to destroy him. It saddens me when I hear of such a tragic loss, a young man growing up in the heart of gang country and somehow overcomes all the obstacles and succeeds.
This reminds me of Tupac. Another extremely gifted young man with influence over his community taken away too soon. Although we love and miss these brothers and many more like them, we have to put aside our grief and mourning and continue the hustle.
The hustle to do for others to make a difference in our communities and our families. Martin, Malcolm, Nipsey and Tupac, are no longer with us, so we have to adopt their hustle and make it our own.
Find a positive motivating cause to uplift your family, friends, community and yourself. Join a group that is doing positive things in your community or create your own group to do positive things in your community. Either way, “Get Your Hustle On”.
