I Am Human, Are You?

I self-titled this blog, with the question that I always ask in my blogs. I am human, are you? I asked the question considering a tragic shooting here on July 4th, 2020, here in Illinois. I won’t go into the horrible details.  

I asked myself, how we can as human beings, be so evil to each other and do the things we do to  each other? I’m reminded of a question that was asked of God. 

Am I my brother’s keeper? If I’m a human being and my brother is a human being, then ,yes, I’m my brother’s keeper. My brother is a human being too, and like me he has choices that he makes for himself, as I do and as we all do. 

Do we choose to help? Or do we choose to hurt? Do we choose to discourage? Or do we choose to encourage? Do we lift or do we tear down? 

We are our brother’s keeper and it’s up to us as individuals to lift each other up in prayer and in spirit. So, I will be all my brothers’ keepers And I will keep them in prayer in fellowship in brotherhood. Who’s your brother?
