When I take the time to count my many blessings, I know that God is smiling down on me. Why? Because I have brothers. Intelligent, strong, honest, hardworking men of substance and value.
I have three brothers who have been with me all my life. In fact, they were there at my birth, and they always have my back.
I’ve got brothers I just met two days ago. I have old brothers, young brothers, tall brothers, and not so tall brothers.
I have brothers with boats and expensive cars who have no problem saying, “Here are the keys.” Need 10 stacks? I have brothers who will ask some questions, as they should. But if I need it, I’ve got it.
I have brothers I can call in the middle of the night, for whatever. Need to talk, to pray, or just to listen? I’ve got brothers. I have brothers that I could ride to the ends of the earth with, and back, Gold Wing..
I have praying brothers, preaching brothers, and do-dirt brothers.
I’ve got brothers who speak all languages and look just like you. And while I’m counting my blessings, I thank God that I am a brother too.

So many people try to go it alone thinking that makes them look strong or admirable. The truth is we all need “brothers” around us. Brothers who are just like us and can understand where and who we are. And we need brothers who are different from us and can show us what we would have never seen on our own. The combination of these brothers allow us to grow and realize, as you say, that we are all alike.

I like the way you said “ I have brothers I can call in the middle of the night, for whatever.” I like this because for a young man like me in my generation there are not many real men that I can call my brother and the few I do have live so far away or are to busy and miss it sometimes.
