Let’s make America great again. I know I know you’ve heard this phrase uttered throughout social media, throughout television, cable, all over the president’s tweets and you see the Red Hat with the phrase. So let me stop and tell you that I’m not riding the Trump train. I just needed to say that the phrase has been reduced to a #. And it seems no one’s trying to really make America great.
The president uses these words in tweets and on dog whistles to insight a certain base. This base feels like America was great when a different color of people were working their asses off for free, to build this country. To advance a certain group of people by giving them a 400 year head start to make it in America. while treating them like crap and denied their human rights.
To imply that was the time when America really was great, or at least better than it is now. When all the different colored skinned people demanded their rights. Some people thought as the president thought, that these were better times.
Well I don’t know about that. What I do know is that bringing up better times, when times were so good for you and bad for others are not good times at all. We have to adopt the mindset that if one of us is in pain then we’re all in pain.Now you have more people trying to ease your pain than cause it. If we are ever going to come together as a nation, as brothers and sisters, we have to move forward.
So forget about all the negative energy that is being broadcast over the televisions and Internet and let’s remember something great about America. I remember when Barack Obama gave such inspiring speech to announce that he was going to run for president, it made people feel warm all over.
I remember how cold it was in Washington DC the day Barack Obama was being sworn in as president. The trains were jam-packed with people. The streets were jam-packed with people enduring the cold. But you didn’t mind the cold. Because you could feel the togetherness, the pride and even love towards your brother and sister and it was that feeling that kept us warm.
It’s times like that when people came together as human beings and actually showed love for a person they just met on a crowded train and actually considered them your brother or your sister.
So now that we know that it’s possible, I challenge everyone. I double dog dare you. I triple dog dare you to join me in Making America Great. How do we do that you ask?
We will we start by looking in the mirror and saying to that person in the mirror, I’m going to Make America great. By self-improvement. Make changes to better yourself. Start liking yourself, investing in yourself, encouraging yourself and treating yourself better.
Now you will start to feel better. Once you feel better, make someone else feel better. Encourage them, complement them, do something nice for them. Say something nice to them and you’ll start to feel better and better, And before your know it, people will treat you better.
Now we are on our way to making America great. This is just the start. Make America great again.
