It was about a month ago, while running through the remote looking for something interesting to watch on TV. I pause at a video, not knowing the artists or the song. But in the video the guy was singing and he was in a car and all of a sudden he jumped out of the car while the car was still moving.
He continued to sing the song while walking outside of the car without a driver. As I began to change the channels, I paused for a second to continue watching it, still not really listening to the lyrics or concerns or who the artists was.
Fast-forward to a couple of days ago I saw on the news where people were copying this insane act from the video. Jumping out of a moving car to record themselves singing a song, while they were walking alongside the car. Not knowing that the video was more than likely shot on a closed set and the idiots that chose to copy the artists did not take this into consideration.
So they were walking into trees, streets signs, falling down hills, tripping and getting caught in the doorway and being dragged by their own cars. They were even allowing the car to get away from them, causing the car to hit other cars. Because they saw it on a video.
This is just one example of how society is slowly being manipulated by social media, television and video. How and when did we get so lost?
To see something stupid and we know that it is stupid and we do that stupid thing that we know is stupid. Wake up people wake up.
We have to make better choices for our lives and for the sake of our children and be better examples. So let’s pull up our pants and make better choices. If you choose to follow in the footsteps of someone else make sure the path that they’re walking is straight, honest and upright. We need more leaders not followers.
