It is not uncommon when well-known people pass away that we, as humans, come together to remember why he or she was famous or well-known enough for us to take notice of their passing.
The time has come and gone for three of our brothers this past month: James Earl Jones, Tito Jackson, and Frankie Beverly. All three were well-known, and we were all saddened by the news of their passing.
We remember the reasons why they remain in our memories. Just hearing the words of James Earl Jones saying, “Luke, I am your father,” sends shivers up and down many men’s spines, wishing he was talking to them.
Tito Jackson knew he was the black sheep of the family—like all black sheep know. Despite this, his unique presence was always felt.
And who can forget Frankie Beverly’s music? He knew that many first-borns were conceived with “Silky Silky Soul” playing in the background.
Our beloved brothers’ time has come to an end. So, let’s take time to remember them.
