Sometimes We All Lose IT

I have to admit that in light of the Stephon Clark shooting I may have gone a little off topic in my efforts to promote the I Am Human R U movement. I was reviewing my last three blogs entitled It All A Game, Knowing The Rules Of The Game, How To Play The Game and I must admit I came off a little like the angry black man.

The I am human R U movement is a non-racial non-denomination non-gender movement. It is a humanitarian movement to promote humanity in all people and I may have gone a little to the left, insight of a tragedy that affected me in a way that I got angry and I used the format of the movement to express my anger.

At first I was not going to post them. But after pausing and taking a knee I decided to go ahead and post them. Because      humans get angry and I am human. I realized that my feelings were based on my humanity. All that anger I was feeling was normal.  Redirecting my anger to do something positive should have been my first reaction. But emotions got the best of me in the heat of the moment. So for my hasty decision to react before thinking I must apologize. I’m not apologizing for the blogs, I could have timed them better for submission and stayed on point.

So here we are now three blogs in and Stephon Clark is still dead. Five seconds. It takes about five seconds to shoot 10 bullets from a semi automatic handgun, weapon of choice of most police departments. Two police officers chose to hastily react in a dark gangway and mistake a cell phone for a gun and used five seconds to execute Stephon Clark.

Firing a total of 20 bullets hitting him eight times in the back. I wish those police officers could get those five seconds back to think about the choice they were about to make. I wonder if they had a sense of humanity would they have used those five seconds more wisely?

A sense of humanity this is what we are missing ladies and gentlemen we must consider when reacting with other human beings that they are human just like us.   Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said {The American People Are Affected By Racism That is our Problem. The American People Are Also Affected With Democratic Idealism their is our hope} until we the people of the United States can all get on the same page and recognize each other as human beings we will continually allow our differences to separate us and have a reason to hate each other.

I Am Human. R U?

Smoke That Over.
