Roger Goodell the NFL commissioner made the announcement on May 23, 2018 at 4:30 PM that the NFL would be implementing fines from the league and giving the teams whose members are disrespecting the flag and the national anthem of the United States of America.
The NFL has just disrespected the flag and all that it stands for and the First Amendment. It is obvious to me that the NFL has no clue of what the flag stands for and even less of a clue of what the national anthem stands for.
To force the teams to do the NFL’S dirty work is cowardly. It is highly possible that the NFL is made up of a group of non-human beings. Or is it just a bunch of old rich guys who are so misguided and driven by jealousy and hate.
They just don’t understand what the whole purpose of the players kneeling in the first place. The reason the players began to kneel was following Colin Kaepernick’s lead was to bring awareness to police brutality and police murdering of African-Americans.
The flag is a symbol in which many Americans disrespect daily when they disagree with government policies or they jest want to wear the flag for a pair of shorts on the 4 July. But that’s not the NFL’s concern. They would rather make America great again by denying a group of players they’re rights for a peaceful protests.
All the NFL wants is to see their boys perform in a way that they see fit and keep their mouths shut. It’s bad enough that we have to pay them now, Seems to be the thought of the NFL.
I think that all of the fans of football that are human should take a knee this up-and-coming football season. It’s a small price to pay to save lives. Let the NFL know that we stand with Colin Kaeperick and all the other players who are taking a knee against police brutality and police murdering African Americans.
No football until an honest real and public discussion about police brutality and real-time solutions to end it.
