In the past 60 years or so the so-called African-American has had multiple identifications. We have been labeling every sense we were brought to this country by our enslavers. Never being considered as humans, but as property to be named and to do with what our enslavers design. The diabolical system set up to control their new enslaved people was to first destroy all of their self-esteem, self pride and human worth.

So the identifying word had to be able to do all these negative things to the new enslaved African people to destroy them psychologically, emotionally and they’re humanely. {Negro}

Language of origin’s Spanish meaning black. The enslavers chose to merely identify the newly enslaved by the color of their skin. Negro was not degrading enough, so the word Nigger was chosen as the new identifier for the Africans enslaved people. In 1619 the first 19 or so Africans to reach the English colonies arrived in Jamestown Virginia.

Over four centuries of enslavement of the African people. Being denied their true identity. Now in 2018 most of us can remember when we were identified as Nigger, Negro, Negro-American, Afro-American, and black, African American. All these identifiers of the African people brought to America to be slaves is not who we really are as a people.

We have to understand and know that the so-called African-American in America today was robbed of our true identity and heritage. It is only with research and education and the zeal to know the truth about who we really are. Is when we can accept Who We Are Not? WE must know the true beginning of how our true identity was stolen, before we can know who we are.
