We all have family members and friends that we are close to whether they are related to us or not. But in the midst of our family and friends there is always one person, that go to person that we know we can tell our inner most secrets to. That we trust with, dare I say it our lives. Is it your mother who carried you in her womb for nine months and nurtured you and loved you unconditionally and made you the man or woman you are today? Or is it your father who sacrificed for you all your life to make sure you had everything you needed while you were growing up.
Was it a brother or sister that you were able to tell your secrets to? or just a big brother a big sister you could talk to about anything at anytime? Grammar school friends, high school friends, college roommate or someone you met in your life’s travels? That rides or dies. The person that has your back always. A husband or wife you knew that they have your back always.
In the biker world you have that one person you ride with rain or shine, day or night. When it’s kickstands up, you all are ready to roll out together no matter what. In the movie bad boys with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, they said we ride together we die together bad boys for life.
This is a powerful bond between two people that understand that everyone needs someone. An unwritten bond between two people, a creed that needs no contract or lawyers to negotiate, an understanding of trust, love and respect. Money can’t buy it and no one can come between the two. Your ride or die. You be someone’s ride or die.
